Personal-Use Licence

What we sell is a set of design files. You download them, print the parts and assemble an airframe. That airframe is where this licence ends. Everything you add to it, and everything you do with it afterwards, is yours.

This licence covers every Nomadium digital kit. It starts when you buy a kit, or when we give you one without charge, and it lasts for good.

Our Terms and Conditions cover the purchase itself, and our Privacy Policy covers personal data. Where this licence and the terms disagree about what you may do with the files, this licence wins.

The short version

• Print, build and fly as many as you like, for yourself. No build limit, no expiry. Once you have paid, it is yours permanently.
• Fly it, film it, share your footage. Post anywhere, including a channel that earns you money.
• Do not share the files. Not the originals, not converted or lightly edited versions. Every copy we issue is marked with the buyer’s own serial.
• Do not earn with the aircraft itself. No paid flying jobs, no building for other people, no selling airframes or parts. Those are separate licences and we are glad to sell you one.
• Share your own modifications if they are genuinely yours and do not give our design away.
• Build it as the manual says. The filament, the print settings and the assembly steps are the design, not suggestions.
• We stop at the airframe. Electronics, power, radio, tuning and flying are yours, and so is everything that follows from them.

The rest of this page is the same thing, said properly.

1. What the words mean

“The files” means everything in a kit: models, drawings, the manual, the parts list, print settings, configuration files, and every version we give you. It also means any copy, export, conversion, repair, rescale or edit of them. Changing the file format does not make it a different file.

“Personal use” means your own printing, building, repairing, displaying and flying, for yourself, not for money. It does not include work for a customer, a client or an employer, and it does not include use by a company, school, university, research institution or public body.

“We” and “us” are Nomadium Robotics EDPK, UIC 208662142, VAT BG208662142, of 5 Hristo Belchev Street, 1000 Sofia, Bulgaria. “You” are the person whose Nomadium account the kit sits in.

2. What you may do

For personal use, you may:

• download the files and keep them, permanently
• back them up on your own devices and your own private cloud storage
• print and build, in any quantity you like, for yourself, including spares and replacements
• modify them for your own use
• fly, display, photograph and film what you build, and publish that material

This licence is permanent and we cannot take it back on a whim. It is not a subscription and it does not expire. The only ways it ends are in section 12.

There is no build limit, and that is deliberate. Print a second one, keep spare wings, print a fresh tail after a hard landing. A licence covers a person, not an aircraft.

It is yours, and it does not transfer. You cannot sell, lend, give away or pass on your licence, and you cannot let someone else use it.

You are buying permission to use the design, not the design itself. We keep every right we have not given you here.

3. What you may not do

Do not share the files. Do not publish, upload, post, send, sell, lend, swap or give anyone access to them, whole or in part. That covers converted, repaired, rescaled, remeshed and lightly edited versions, and it covers a link as much as a file. Sharing a design file is an infringement of our design rights on its own, whether or not anyone prints it.

Do not earn with the aircraft, and do not build for others. Specifically, do not:

• print or build an aircraft or a part for someone else, even for free
• sell airframes, parts, prints, kits or finished aircraft made from our files
• fly one as part of any paid job or service, such as survey, mapping, inspection or filming for a client
• use the files, or an aircraft built from them, for a company, school, university, research institution or public body
• use our files as a starting point for a competing product

If you want to earn with a TerraHawk, ask us. There is a commercial-use licence for paid flying and a manufacturing licence for building and selling. That conversation is welcome and the answer is usually yes.

Back them up, but do not send them anywhere. Your own private storage is fine: a personal cloud drive, a home NAS, an external disk. It must not be shared and there must be no public link to it. Do not send the files to a printing, manufacturing, scanning, repair, conversion or artificial-intelligence service without asking us first. Ask, and for a named print shop we will usually say yes.

Do not train on them. The files must not be used to train, tune or test any AI system, or for text and data mining.

4. Your own modifications

Modify anything you like for your own use.

You may share your own genuine add-ons and substantial modifications publicly, as long as you are not selling them and the file you share:

• contains a real contribution of your own, structural, functional or aerodynamic
• does not contain or reveal a substantial part of our design
• does not replace one of our files, or let our design be rebuilt from it
• says clearly that it is an unofficial, builder-made part

Renaming, converting, repairing, rescaling, remeshing or adding a hole does not make one of our files shareable. If you are not sure which side of the line you are on, ask us. We would much rather answer that question than find out afterwards.

5. Showing your build in public

This is encouraged, not merely tolerated. Post photos, video, build logs, flight footage and honest reviews, good or bad. We do not ask to approve them and we do not expect you to be nice about it.

You may earn from that media. A monetised video, a sponsored channel or a membership tier about your build is fine. It is not the paid flying work forbidden above. The difference is what the aircraft is doing: telling people about your build is fine, doing a job for a client is not.

What you must not show is the files themselves, a download link, or technical detail complete enough to rebuild our design from. Photos and video of printed parts and finished aircraft are exactly what we want to see.

Your media stays yours. If you send us something to publish, we may use, edit for length or format and promote it, and we will credit you using the name or handle you choose, unless you ask to stay anonymous. We will not edit it in a way that misrepresents you, and we will not present you as speaking for Nomadium without asking.

6. Your copy is marked

Every copy we issue carries a serial tied to the purchase it came from, inside the files themselves. We are telling you plainly because a mark nobody knows about only catches the unlucky, and we would rather it put everybody off.

Do not remove, alter or hide it. We use it for one thing: finding the source of a copy that should not be out there.

7. Build it the way the manual says

Building to the specification is part of this licence. When you build an airframe from our files, you agree to:

• use a filament and print settings we specify for that part, or accept that any change is your own engineering decision
• follow the assembly, bonding and inspection steps in the manual, every spar, fastener and glued joint
• respect the airframe’s design limits. The structure is sized for the all-up weight and airspeed published in the manual. Build it heavier, or set it up to fly faster, and it is outside what we designed and tested.

Stop if a part looks wrong. A crack, a delamination, a soft spar joint, an under-extruded layer: do not use it. Nothing here ever asks you to do something you think is unsafe.

You may modify the airframe, and the consequences of your modification are yours.

8. Where we stop, and you take over

We supply design files, a manual, print settings and a starter configuration file, and that is the whole of what we supply. Our part ends with a printed, assembled airframe built to the specification above.

We do not supply, choose, test or control your printer, your filament brand, your electronics, your batteries, your propellers, your motors, your radio link, your flight-controller tuning or your flying. Those are yours. They also decide most of whether the finished aircraft is safe, which is why we are being clear about the line rather than blurring it.

Once you fit your own components and fly, everything that follows is on you. That includes:

• registering as a drone operator with your national aviation authority, and putting your operator number on the aircraft
• which category you may fly in. An aircraft you build yourself carries no class label, so above 250 g it is A3 only: well away from people, and at least 150 metres from residential, commercial, industrial and recreational areas. Worth knowing before you buy, not after.
• your pilot competency, and insurance where your country requires it
• checking the rules where you actually are, because they vary

Nothing we publish is permission to fly or an airworthiness approval. Nothing we sell is fit for carrying people, flying over people, or any job where a failure would hurt somebody.

9. Updates, and Early Access

Where a kit is sold with a period of free updates, that period is fixed against your purchase when you buy and does not move afterwards, whatever we offer new customers later. During it, any revision we publish of a kit you own is yours at no extra cost.

We do not promise there will be a revision, how many, when, or that a new version will fit parts you have already printed. When the period ends you keep everything you already have, permanently. You just stop getting new versions.

Early Access. Some kits are sold marked Early Access, which means what it says: the design is still under active development, it may be incomplete, and it has not been through the full testing a finished product gets. Expect revisions, expect some details to change, and read section 7 twice. Buying an Early Access kit does not reduce your rights if what we sold you is faulty, and those rights are in section 7 of our Terms and Conditions.

10. Support

Support is for the account that bought the kit, by email at team@nomadiumrobotics.com and in our Discord. There is no guaranteed response time.

We help with our design, our manual and our files. We cannot debug your printer, your electronics or your tune, though the Discord community is often very good at exactly that.

11. Who carries what

Some things cannot be limited by any contract, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Nothing on this page limits any liability the law does not allow us to limit. That covers personal injury caused by our fault, fraud, your rights as a consumer under Bulgarian and EU law, and the law that makes a manufacturer answerable for a defective product. A clause that tried to limit those would simply be void, so there is none here.

What section 7 is, and is not. Section 7 is a specification and a set of promises between you and us about how the airframe gets built. It is not a waiver. It does not stop anybody who is hurt from bringing a claim.

Where responsibility actually sits. We are responsible for the design being what we said it is, and for the airframe it produces not being defective. You are responsible for the finished aircraft: your components, your workmanship, your build quality, your configuration and your flying.

Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, lost data or lost opportunity, and what we owe you for anything to do with a kit is capped at what you paid for it.

If someone brings a claim against us because you broke this licence, or because you flew carelessly or unlawfully, you cover our costs. That does not apply where the claim comes from a fault in what we supplied, and it does not apply where consumer law says it cannot. We will tell you straight away, let you take part, and not settle it behind your back.

If you are buying as a business rather than as a consumer, the consumer protections above are not yours, and the rest of this section still applies.

12. If this licence is broken

We can end this licence if you seriously break it: sharing the files, defeating the serial, or using a kit commercially without the right licence.

We will tell you what the problem is, and where it can be fixed we will say what would fix it and give you a fair chance to do it. We are not looking for technicalities.

If it does end, stop using the files and delete your copies. Aircraft you have already built and fly yourself are not affected. The licence also ends if your purchase is refunded or charged back, because payment is what it rests on.

Sharing our files causes damage that money repairs badly, so we may go to court for an order to stop it as well as for damages, and we may use the serial to show where a copy came from.

13. The rest

You need to be 18 to buy a kit. Someone younger may build and fly one under the supervision of an adult who holds the licence and takes responsibility for the build and the flight. The files stay with the licence holder.

If you send us feedback or suggestions about a kit, we may act on them freely and we owe you nothing further for it.

This licence, the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the files. We may issue a new version for future purchases. The version you accepted governs what you already bought.

This licence does not make us partners, employer and employee, or agents for one another. If one part of it cannot be enforced, the rest still stands.

Bulgarian law governs this licence, and the courts of Sofia, Bulgaria have jurisdiction over any dispute. That is the rule. The only exception is where the law that protects you as a consumer gives you rights we are not permitted to override, and in that case those rights apply and nothing here removes them.
